ProlougeMy footsteps were heavy on the pared floor. Menacing faces ridged with contempt sneered down at my shivering form. My eyes darted around the hall of gloom, searching for a way out. I could still hear them even through my thudding heart pulsated in my eardrums. They were breaking in. My head snapped back; there I saw the faint lines bordering a sinister portrait of a wrinkled old hag, condemning my soul by the sheer strength of her glare. I stumbled towards her and wrenched the door way open. Crash. They had broken through. Up I fled up the spindly staircase, it mounded to the shadows but the darkness gave no sympathy.Prolouge

The obvious question hung in the air, Sheltering the repulsive truth as a shattered shield, “Who did that?” A knife to the throat of peace, “Who do you think?” beads of blood slid down the blade, The pressure of a thousand hands wavering on an axe, The prejudice of their minds heavily weighed,
The edge of justice gleamed in his eyes, An ancient destiny stared gnawing, “Of course equality would reign, If we were ruling.”
